Enable Unknown Sources on Shield
Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & Restrictions. Enable "Unknown Sources" for the Downloader app or directly toggle "Allow apps from unknown sources".
Install TiviMate from Google Play
Unlike Firestick, the Nvidia Shield runs full Google Play. Search for TiviMate Companion in the Play Store and install it. Then install TiviMate IPTV Player from the Play Store directly.
Add Your KevinIPTV Playlist
Open TiviMate → Add Playlist → Xtream Codes API. Enter your KevinIPTV Host URL, Username, and Password. TiviMate will pull the full channel list and EPG automatically.
Configure Hardware Decoding
In TiviMate → Settings → Player → Decoder, select "Hardware (HW+)" for maximum performance. The Shield uses a Tegra X1+ chip with native 4K HEVC decode — enabling this gives you perfect 4K playback with zero CPU load.
Set Up 4K HDR Output
In Shield Settings → Display → Resolution, set to 4K 60Hz. Enable "HDR Mode: Auto". KevinIPTV streams in HDR10 for compatible content, which your Shield will automatically handle.
